Expert Guidance on Laboratory Licensing & Services

We’ve answered some of the most common questions about CLIA labs, Medicare licensing, and our molecular testing services.

Activating a CLIA License for a full-service laboratory can vary by state, taking anywhere from as little as 2-3 business days to up to 3 weeks, depending on the specifics of the laboratory setup.

A full-service laboratory, equipped with essential molecular and chemistry equipment, also requires a proper laboratory setup and a CLIA License. The setup process typically takes 3-4 weeks without Medicare involvement, while it may extend up to 8 weeks when Medicare is included.

Whether you are purchasing a license only or a full-service laboratory, you, as the buyer, will at a minimum receive an office space in your name for the laboratory along with the lease, a CLIA License in your name, and state EIN with all necessary filings completed in your name. Additional laboratory setup options will include Medicare and instrumentation, depending on what is purchased or requested.
